Goals of the Program
Assisting employees with prompt access to appropriate medical services is just one of the roles of our workers' compensation case managers. Our comprehensive workers' compensation case management program involves working with employers and payers to assist them with injury prevention, help them prepare for early intervention in injury events, and to facilitate the medical care of their employees to regain maximum health, optimal functional outcomes, and successful and early return-to-work.

The nurse case managers at M. Salerno & Associates, Inc. are committed to providing the customer with an “information highway” that keeps the payer in the loop about all the medical and vocational aspects of a case. The major roles of the nurse case manager are: assessing workplace safety and health, establishing treatment networks, assisting employers with developing transitional duty thereby decreasing the high cost of lost time, assisting the employee with treatment options, and creating a continuous real-time communication feedback among all parties involved.

What we offer:

Coordination of the treatment plan between the medical provider, the employee, the adjuster, and the employer
Provide confirmation and documentation of the employee’s ability to return to work and the employer’s ability to accommodate a transitional modified duty or full duty position
Assistance to the employer with identification of appropriate return to work options
Coordination of on-site work hardening, job-site evaluations and necessary follow-up treatment
