What is a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant?

We offer free initial telephone consultations focused on your medically-related
case, with a specific plan of action to meet your particular needs. Our legal
nurse consultants are Registered Nurses who, by virtue of specialization and
expertise, provides our clients with qualified opinions based on standards of
care, interpretation of medical records, research, and experience in healthcare
on medical-legal issues.
Initial screening and critical analysis of cases for merit
Review and identify relevant medical records, hospital policies and procedures
and other essential documents to help you recognize non-meritorious cases early
and help save you time and money
Define Standards of Care, and identify the adherence and deviations from the
applicable Standards of Care. Organize, tab, and paginate medical records to
provide you with a clear overview of the case. Screen medical and nursing
related cases for merit. Assess damages or injuries to identify causation of the
damages to strengthen your position in case presentation. Screen cases to help identify
and recommend potential defendants and witnesses for your case
Expert Witness Search
Identify types of expert witnesses needed to provide informed opinions for your
case. Locate and interview expert witnesses to help prepare the expert for
deposition and trial, thereby bolstering your position
Report Writing
Develop written reports for use as study tool to enhance your understanding of the medical aspects of the case. Summarize, translate, and interpret medical records to provide you with clear and concise understanding of the case with all medical terminology explained
Prepare questions for interrogatories or depositions. Develop timelines or chronologies surrounding the case
Identify and recommend Potential Defendants
Analyze and compare expert witness reports and other work products for strong case presentation
Assist with mediation and arbitration
Develop and defend Life Care Plans
Assist with discovery issues and help formulate questions for deposition and interrogatories
Literature Search
Conduct in-depth literature searches to provide theoretical foundation for case development
Integrate literature and standard guidelines into case analysis to provide accurate interpretation of the case
